Faith Education
Faith formation is a lifelong journey. BSLC education programs include study, discussions on topics relevant in our daily lives, guest speakers, and fellowship. Education programs coordinate with the school year running September through June.
Adult Forum
Adults are invited to Adult Forum on Sundays between worship services. Adult Forums are led by Pastor Jaech, Rachel Brocker, and special guest presenters. Recent subjects include The Process of Forgiveness and Christian Ethics 101. Click here for current months topics.
Weekday Bible Study
Adults are invited to gather for a mid-week Bible Study opportunity. Typically, Pastor Jaech leads a class on Wednesday afternoons. On occasion, a church member or guest instructor leads an additional weekday class. Check the church calendar for the current class opportunities.
Certified Lay Ministry program
Adults wishing for a deeper level of religious study can explore the Certified Lay Ministry Program. CLMs complete two years of study and service. If you would like more information on the CLM program, please contact Pastor Jaech.
Elementary School Age program
Sunday school is held on Sundays between worship services for children age three through High School. In the elementary age classes we include music, crafts, service projects, and Bible study that helps lay a foundation for their relationship with God.
Vacation Bible School
Our annual week-long day camp. Songs! Crafts! Games! Friends! And most of all, learning about how God loves each and every one of us.
Middle School
Middle School aged kids have a Sunday School program designed just for them. The emphasis is on learning about living as God’s people in the world. Discussions, learning activities, and service projects combine to help kids understand they are loved, supported, and capable.
Confirmation is for students 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. This three-year program of study takes kids deeper into understanding the roots of their faith and applying their faith to their lives now and in the future.
High School
High School kids meet during the education hour for facilitated discussion on topics of interest and relevance to them. Adult leaders talk with and listen to the kids as they explore their growing independence and how their faith is an anchor for their exciting (although sometimes scary) futures ahead.
